10:48 AM Edit This 1 Comment »Nowadays we hardly talk or chat, I know you have just got good start of career so you have paucity of time. I am not asking you to give me buzz or chat now and then but your cold response leaves me pondering. I am just bother about the way we are ending this relationship, although you have full right to do whatever you want. I hope you will not take it as a letter of complains, it's just a communiqué to a friend.
I would love to end this relationship in decent manner not like this dyeing slow death। I was always (still today) very excited about this relationship and if this is the time to end this relationship than it should be in proper way, without any grouse, as ending always matters. I won't say much now, I think I have written enough it.
Have a great time ahead

A lot can happen over coffee

The café boy, in their trade mark smile, approached to them and greeted and asked for order। The girl asked the café boy to arrange few more chairs and told him that few more people is about to reach here. She was looking tensed as well as her parents. By the time, I had guessed that the girl is meeting a boy for marriage. A meeting was fixed by her parents to see the guy and judge him in next 30 minutes which was very herculean task to complete. I was simply observing the girl activities and was trying to listen their conversation. I know this is not good hobby to listen others privet conversation but I was so curios that I could not resist to do so. Suddenly the boy accompanied his parents and sister entered the café and that brought the smile on girl face. They greeted each other and occupied the seats. The boy, who was wearing black shirt & blue denim, was looking little fatty. I could see the shyness on girl’s face. Even boy was also feeling awkward.
Both the families seemed to be shy and were hesitant to say something; in meanwhile girl’s father asked the café boy to serve the cold water and placed the order। They started conversation to know more about each other that made the situation little light. A few minutes later, boy’s sister showed some smartness and asked her brother and girl to sit aside, lonely, to be friendlier. Both, the boy and girl nodded their head in yes and went to other side of café and seated in corner to know more about each other.

So much has been written and talked about the GW (Global Warming)। One can easily find dignitaries showing concerned over it and NGOs taking it like a Mission Impossible way. Government has also come up with so many communication plans to educate people & show concern over the GW. In simple words, everyone, including, Govt. NGOs etc making huge cry over it but frankly speaking, I find it mare a talk point. I am not denying that global warming or climate change is not an issue. It is, and this is the biggest ever crisis we are facing on earth. But point is that we are only just talking about the GW and all the discussions are on papers. We lack sincerity to do something on climate change. All over the world, including in India, hardly any steps have been taken to do the damage control.
To justify my point I give you a live example of power misuse in Delhi। Recently Delhi government constructed the state of the art steel Bus Q Shelters in the city. No doubt these Bus Q Shelters look good and enhance the beauty of the city. These Bus Q shelters are also being used for advertising; you will find dazzling & glossy hoarding there. To make the ad visible & shiny during the night time, these hoarding or Q shelters use large no of tube lights and consume huge electricity. A single Q shelters uses 72 tube lights in night (I have counted personally). If you assume that there are 1500(it might be more) Bus Q shelters in the city than 1, 0, 8,000 tube lights are burn in the night all over the city. A single tube light consumes about 3 units of electricity from evening to till dawn than it means 3, 24,000 units of electricity consume only by Q shelters for no use.
As per my knowledge, a single tube light consume 180 watt in a night. If I calculate further, 1, 0, 8,000 tube lights would consume around 2.5 KW of electricity in a single night in Delhi. This is a shear waste of electricity. Do we need such hoarding or shelters where so much of electricity is consumed?
We talk about using solar powers and natural ways and save energy but on other side we are wasting so much of power। We need to cut such opulence use of power to save the environment & climate. If we take smaller steps to stop misusing power than we can surly help to control the climate change but mere words cannot fulfill the purpose.

9:47 AM Edit This 0 Comments »This is the story about Hany and Misonita. Its funny, cartoonic, but romantic too…you can name to anything. But it’s an interesting story – about two different persons. A visit to Gurdwara Bangla Sahib
2:45 PM Edit This 1 Comment »
Last Saturday I visited Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, a holy place for Sikh community. Located in the heart of the city near CP, Bangla Sahib is a prominent Sikh Gurdwara which is built on the place where once eight Sikh Guru Har Krishan Ji resided during his stay in
I along with my friend reached there around 10 o’clock in night. We washed our feet & hand first and than headed to main hall of the building with covered head to revere our prayers to Guru Granth Ji sahib. The place was full with followers varied from the all age group. It seemed that everyone was there to denounce their worries and to confer themselves in the feet of Guru Sahib. The place where the Guru Granth Sahib Ji was positioned had heavenly atmosphere and it was decorated with flowers which were spreading the sweet fragrance all over there. We bowed our heads to guru Granth ji sahib and prayed for a moment and than came out form the main dome of the building.
Outside there fresh breeze was blowing that made our body relaxed. One of the interesting thing about the Gurdwaras is their LUNGAR (Community Food service at free of cost). All the gurudwars provide free lunger – this is considered as the PRASAD (Holy blessings) of guru sahib. We also wanted to have the Lunger but by the time we reached there, lunger was closed.
Bangla Sahib is spread over a huge land and it also has a Sarovar (Pond). Devotees take bath in holy Sarovar, it is believed that if you take bath there than you would be blessed with Guru’ love & fortune. It was filled up with clean water which was inviting us to take a dip. And we could not resist ourselves to soak in holy pond. Although we had already planned for bath so we did carry our xtra cloths. We dipped in Sarovar- the water was cold which was shaking us. It was amazing to take bath in open air with viewing Gurudwara sahib ji and water was reflecting the picturesque view of white marble Gurdwara Sahib. For the next half hour, we were in Sarovar and utilized the opportunity fully to enjoy. It was the great experience- a memorable one. Our body was relaxed and cool. We dint want to come out from the water but finally we had to finish it up as we were to reach home also. I would say this was one of the best night out I did with my friends and when we are moving towards home our body and mind both were at peace.
Imagination + Dream + Hope = Wait
11:15 AM Edit This 5 Comments »
The wait is longer than expected and the chariot of time is passing quickly. The thousands of gallops are carrying it to unknown destination. Standing alone on the sideways, i find myself in a dilemma to ride it or not. I ask myself that is it worth to wait or should i start my expedition along with the passing time but my quest to solve this puzzle remain unanswerable. By each passing day, i can see the wait is becoming longer and sorer. I even myself don’t know that how to take it to an end.
I grilled myself to fathom out the wait. The deeper i thought, the more i got perplexed. I don’t have definition of my wait. But all i can say that wait is quills of the dreams. We dream, we love to dream. Unlimited, boundless and enormous- dream. We, human, believe in dreams and love to see these dreams to get concrete shaped. And our mind draws the sketches of these dreams, a hope of fulfillment starts hovering in our mind. A thin line between the mind and the sketches of dreams turn into wait. Our desire to see our dreams in live lasted in wait.
And same is happening with me, my raw sketches of dreams are floating in my mind. A hope of accomplishment, an anticipation to live them lively is striking somewhere and which end up in wait. I dream- i imagine that keeps me walking. These endless sketches of imagination become the motivation to live; cause to do the things which are not possible. Sometime wait is sweet, beautiful and sometime wait can be reason behind your sleepless nights.

Who is throwing party tonight?

Few incidents leave funny marks in life, and when you look back at them, you just end up by smiling. I had also come across to such incident, where I got embarrassed like never before but today when I recall that incident I just laugh on myself. Here it goes. I was on official trip, after a hectic day, I was resting in my hotel room than suddenly my cell rang. It was Naveen, a journalist in local newspaper, made me call “Hey how are you? Where are you? What’s plan?” he enquired in a single stretch. “I am fine yaar, just back after the meeting, you tell” I replied. Although I knew that what Naveen was going to ask me? Just a week before Naveen’ elder brother got married and he personally invited me and wanted me to attend the marriage. I had a promised with him but I could not keep my words. On other side he said “hey you did not turn up, very bad”. I was expecting these words from him. “I am sorry yaar, could not come but anyway congrts” I defended myself. When you are in corporate world, you do false promises for the sake of good relationship and I did the same thing with Naveen. “Anyway let’s meet up yaar, will have good time” he said. I could easily make out that he wanted to go for drink. “Sure buddy, I could not attend the marriage, let’s celebrate it now, its party time” I replied and was happy that Naveen wants to celebrate it with me. In next fifteen minutes, we were in a bar named Vineyard and Naveen was accompanied with two other guys both were the journalists from the reputed newspapers. And we greeted each other and occupied a corner table and ordered our favorite drinks and also ordered few cookies to eat. It was nice bar with good interior; room fragrance was more than normal which slightly was making my nose on alert. We gulped couple of glasses of drinks and discussed everything which is not unusual as alcohol makes people chatter box. The Vineyard was city’ most popular bar and it was touching its capacity at peak hours, people were waiting for their turn to come in. Visitors were really having good time in bar and were busy in sipping drinks & smoking and one could easily see the curly small fogy clouds of cigarette smoke there. We continued our drinks and ordered one after one.
It was past to ten, when we realized to finish up our last drink, in mean time, we requested attendant to get the cheque. By this time, we all were intoxicated and one could easily make out it. The attendant bought the bill to our table with big smile in hoping to get a tip. For a few minutes, bill was laid on table; no one was worried to check the amount. All of us were pretending to be a royal invitee. I asked Naveen to settle the bill as we all were tired and getting late to sleep. And here the real drama began. Naveen came closer to me and whispered in my ear. I just shouted “what, no it’s not me”. Naveen just told me that it’s me who is throwing party not he. I was shocked to hear this. He simply called me in eve and asked me to have drink and I clearly mentioned him to celebrate his brother’ marriage and I thought that he is giving me party as I missed his bro’ wedding. Now we all were seeing each other with open mouth. All were in state of dumbfound. And unfortunately I was neither carrying that much of money with me nor my credit cards. It was an embarrassing situation and I was cursing myself to being greedy. It happened first time in my life and I dint know who to blame for it. We all collected the money and somehow we managed to pay the amount. And the worst part was that the two guys who were accompanying Naveen had to contribute the money. We paid the bill and headed to our way and we dint even dare to look back at the Vineyard.

Talibani act in Mangalore
3:24 PM Edit This 10 Comments »
In a free country like India, everyone has equal rights. If their male counterparts can go to pub and drink than why can’t woman do all these things? Are we living in under Taliban regime or in jingoism? Do we need to follow such ruthless rules? In a civilized society, you can not coerce your thoughts & prejudges on other people. Tomorrow these frenetic would ask women to not to wear jeans or would raise question over working women. This is simply an act of invectiveness of women right and freedom. It’s really unfortunate to see such inane acts in the era of science.
And it seems this is the season of Sena evolutions. So many so called Sena have formed in various part of country to protect the culture & ethics. They are in plenty of numbers- and their name sounds quite interesting also like Shiv Sena, Akhil Bhartiya Sena, Maharstra Nav Nirman Sena, and the last not least- Shri Ram Sena. These self proclaimed cultural harbingers are grown up like weeds and need to be chopped in time so that such Taliban acts can be prevented to take place. It’s the right time to rein them. I condemn their act without giving a second thought.
Indian Automobile Industry – An Overview
10:20 AM Edit This 3 Comments »Indian Automobile industry can be divided into three segments i.e. two wheeler, three wheeler & four wheeler segment. Two wheeler segments enjoys 75% market share of automobile industry, followed by passenger vehicles with the 16% share of market. Three wheeler segments have merely 4% share in domestic market. The domestic two-wheeler market is dominated by Indian as well as foreign players such as Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motors, TVS Motors, and Suzuki etc. Maruti Udyog and Tata Motors are the leading passenger car manufacturers in the country. And India is considered as strategic market by Suzuki, Yamaha, etc.
The major players have not left any stone unturned to be global. Major of the players have got into the merger activities with their foreign counterparts. Like Maruti with Suzuki, Hero with Honda, Tata with Fiat and latest Mahindra with Renault.
In two-wheeler segment, motorcycles have the major share, Hero Honda, the leading bike manufacturer has more than 50% share in two-wheeler segment, followed by Bajaj Auto. In passenger car segment, Maruti Suzuki contributes the 52% market share, with complete monopoly over the small car segments. M&M enjoy the 42% market share in Multi Utility Vehicle in domestic market.
Auto industry in 2008
All the major auto companies enjoyed the high growth ride till the mid 2008. But at the end of the year, industry had to face the hard truth and witnessed the fall in sales compared to last year. In December 2008, overall production fell by 22 % over the same month last year. Global recession has hit the Indian auto industry, India is strong and growing industry but the impact of recession is evident now on industry as sales & growth of automobile companies have declined.
Passenger Vehicles segment registered negative growth. One of its supporting facts is that the sales in December 2008 for passenger vehicles fell by 13.86% over December 2007. Maruti- the leading car manufacturer, registered 10% fall in sells (56293 units), as compared to December’07 (62,515 units). But interestingly, Hyundai motors, the second largest car maker of country, registered a growth in sells, with the help of export; Hyundai Motors reported 19% growth.
Two Wheelers registered minor growth of 1.85 % during April – December 2008. However, Two Wheelers sales recorded 15.43 percent fall in December 2008 over the same month last year. In two wheeler segment, Hero Honda has witnessed 10% fall (215,931 units in Dec 2008) in sales as compared to December 2007 (240,532 units). Bajaj Automobile has registered 33% fall in its over all two wheeler sells, compared to last year. The company has reported 37% negative growth in bike sells.
Although the year 2008 saw a record launches of new products of various categories. Maruti launched A Star, its new small segment car. Honda Motors launched the new version of Honda city, its best selling sedan, also Civic Hybrid. Hyundai motor was not also far behind, in the end of the year, Hyundai launched its much awaited sedan i20.
In Bikes segments, this year was full of happening. Yamaha introduced its two new hi-end models YZF & R15. Suzuki Motorcycle India also launched its legendary bike Hayausa & Intruder in Indian market.
Road ahead- 2009
The Indian automobile market is expected to grow by 9%. Although the industry has faced the brunt of recession, the sales figures of December’08 are the true indicator of bang of global slow down. India with growing middle class, strong economy (although recession has hit the economy, but to be on positive side, will come over soon) and with trained workforce has a strong future of automobile industry. All the big foreign players are eyeing on Indian market.
· Japanese company Nissan Motors has identified India as its global manufacturing hub
· Hyundai has invested huge money in India and has positioned it as small car manufacturing hub in the word
· General Motors, Mercedes –Benz, Skoda Auto, all have big plans for India and will invest huge funds
It is sacrilege to say that the world economy has been undergoing with the huge crisis. And automobile industry is not far behind in league. Undoubtedly, the coming time would be a challenge for the automobile industry. Bike manufacturers have already started facing the problems, loan & finance for new bike is not available easily in semi urban & rural market. Banks and other financial institutions have baked out from finance.
In spite of all these, this year will see a positive growth with some new launches of cars & bikes. We should not forget the launch of much awaited Tata Nano which will soon be seen on Indian roads. Bajaj Auto is planning to roll out 6 new bikes in the year 2009. Hero Honda, Suzuki Motorcycle, Yamaha India, all is set to knock the Indian market with their new products.
I believe that Indian automobile industry is bit immune in comparison to its competitors. Global big three, GM, Ford & Chrysler are not in good state of health, US Govt. has released a bailout, Considering all these facts & current situations, we can conclude the following :-
· Indian automobile industry may face the liquidity crunch in the upcoming months. Few projects have already been on halt. For example, Honda Motors has stopped work on its upcoming project in Rajasthan
· Sells may drop in the upcoming months as the finance for the new products are easily not available. Motorcycle manufactures will face the brunt of financial institutions unwillingness of providing loans to the smaller cities.
· The Government of India should make the norms and policies bit lenient like making the loan process easier & affordable, asking the public sector banks to cut the interest rates, etc.
